Lalesa, Gedeb
The Lalesa station is located on the highlands of Gedeb, in southern Ethiopia, at an elevation of 2150 to 2200 meters. This region, shaped by distinct seasonal patterns, offers ideal conditions for slow maturation and high aromatic complexity.
The coffee grows naturally under shade, mainly beneath enset trees (false banana trees). Cherries from nearby smallholders are carefully selected, then undergo a 9-day anaerobic fermentation followed by slow drying on African beds for 13 to 18 days.
The site, developed by Ephtah Specialty Coffee since 2023, is part of a sustainable and collaborative approach, with strong commitments to producers and the local community, particularly through women-focused programs and social initiatives.
Once stabilized, the coffee is transported to Addis Ababa, then shipped by train to the port of Djibouti for export to our roastery.
Harvest: december 2025
