Cañas Verdes, Hacienda La Esmeralda, Panama

Cañas Verdes is one of Hacienda La Esmeralda’s landmark farms. The Peterson family acquired part of the land in 1967, when it was used for livestock. After the rediscovery of Gesha, the family expanded its cultivation across the Cañas Verdes hillsides. Coffees from this farm are now renowned for their quality, and several of its lots have received competition awards

Lino 4NB comes from the Lino plot at Cañas Verdes. This 2026 anaerobic natural Gesha is produced by the Peterson family at approximately 1,700 metres above sea level

Fermentation & Drying

The ripe cherries were fermented anaerobically for 120 hours, then slowly dried on raised African beds for 39 days
